it's raining

but not pouring... just the atmosphere is so humid and I had to switch off the fan in the night and use a curtain. In the morning we went to T. Nagar found saris for Sophie (a beautiful bordeaux with safran yellow border, hope she will like) and me (a creme with light pink border), dance blouse and pant material for Judith (nice green) and me (black!). We plan to go this evening to KR dresser give him saris for dance costumes and to Nathan for my blouse and pant (Judith has not yet sent me her size information...). Now everybody has a rest and we are waiting for Emmanuelle (who is singer TM Krishna student), I would be so happy to see her.
Yesterday morning I had my first Manjari dance lesson, but was completly lost with pushpanjali, kandam allaripu and jatiswaram, has I did not have time to practise before coming back in India. I took time yesterday to do it twice, and will again today. Hope that will be better tomorrow. Then I watched Sacha and Murielle practise a beautiful varnam that Manjari choreographied. Such a joyfull one, with many rythms, feet works variations,  delicate hands and arms combinations, using all space, surprising changes, both gracious and vigourous. I enjoyed this moment and hope Murielle will show you this dance when she will be back. Sacha and her practised some jatis and the first sentence "you, who were born from a lotus", in different meanings Manjari wanted to interprate.
I should have a lesson with Lavanya tomorrow morning before Manjari class, hope I will be fine.
By the way, last Sunday, when we came to Lavanya's house, I asked to MS Suki to explain how he did for her Paris show music. I noticed he used choirs that are quiet unusal in carnatic music. He showed me he use computer (Mac Book Pro) with music software such as Logic Audio and Melodyne (a French one he uses to change pitch in some recordings, as correction). He recorded his voice, different lines and use Logic Pro to combinate them and add different instruments. I was right!
NOW I HAVE AN NEW INDIAN MOBILE NUMBER. Chek on your right...
