This morning I saw Murielle in Manjari's class. She worked on the varnam she started last year with Sacha, I was very impressed by its beauty. Choice of movements, wonderful work on rythms, delicate story where the nayika is trying to convince the hero to accept heroin's love. I was also touched by Murielle who really enjoyed dancing this varnam despite it's quite speed and complex. It suits her very well.
This morning class make me remind all people I watched dancing in course or rehearsals : first Lucrezia then Eva in Sangeeta classes, Sangeeta herself with group in Radha's house, Lavanya for reharsals (I was sitting in the middle of the musicians!) I had great time to watch other.
I did not make to many shopping this time : we stayed in Mylapore to find some practise sari, dance jewellery, sticks for my French friends, some surprises for my boyfriend. I found for myself a new simple belt, putus, and a blue lapis lazuli practise sari. I am thinking to go also in Sukra tomorrow to get new anklets and rings...
Thanks to Sangeeta we discover many things (but we finally dit not go to swim unfortunately). Last Thuersday evening we went In ITT (Indian Institute of Technology) to attend a outdoor festival Saarang 2012. I enjoyed very much the concert with virtuose flutiste Shashang Subramaniam with mrigandam, tabla and 3 musicians from Rajasthan. The ambiance was a little bit like a family Woodstock (no mud for sure but young people, parents and small children).
Yesterday evening I saw Sweetha the young Lavanya's student, she was really very sweet.
It seems that tonight we are going to have fun with Sangeeta, Heero and Vincent (who is now a respectacle dance teacher in Reunion Island).
